All Four Major U.S. Market Indices Show Large Single-Day Declines
All four major U.S. Market indices exhibited large single-day declines on Monday, March 3, 2025. The S&P 500 was down 1.8%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down 1.5%, the Nasdaq Composite was down 2.6%, and the Russell 2000 was down 2.8%. These losses continue the downward trends that started in mid to late February, and place the 2025 year-to-date market performance well below the levels observed in 2023 and 2024.
